Doubtful Sound Overnight

• Bookings can only be confirmed once full payment has been received.

Refunds

• Up to 48 hour before charter = 90% (10% booking fee only will apply.)
• Inside 48 hours before charter = No Refund
• Fiordland Expeditions cannot be held responsible for Acts of God or the actions of sub-contractors. It is the clients responsibility to ensure they have suitable insurance to cover any unexpected eventuality.

Exclusive Use Charters

In order to secure your booking a minimum deposit of $3,000 25% is required. Your requested dates cannot be confirmed until we have acknowledged receipt of your deposit.

Total payment is due 1 month prior to the commencement of your trip.

A time payment option is also available to ease the payment of your charter. Talk to us today to discuss the best option for you.

Join a Group Charter

50% deposit is required to hold your place. Total payment must be made 1 month prior to charter commencement. Failure to comply will mean the charter is cancelled and no refunds will be given.

In either charter option final payment must be made 1 month prior to the charter commencing. If the client is in default of this clause then Fiordland Expeditions reserves the right to on-sell the charter/position(s) with no refunds given to the original party.

Cancellation/Refund Policy

Trips cancelled 6 months before trip - 90% refund Between 6 months and 1 month - no refund unless the dates can be on-sold. Then a 10% booking fee only would apply.

Less than 1 month - The charter is cancelled with no refunds available.

Acts of God

While we do our best to keep to schedule there may be rare times when events, access operators or weather beyond our control, affect our schedule. In such cases any party is still liable to pay normal nightly rates but only while they are in use of the Tutoko.

The client agrees that in such circumstances Fiordland Expeditions cannot be held responsible for any delays, losses or extra costs incurred from other sources and agrees to make their own arrangements to protect themselves from external costs.

Transfer Options

Transfers are organised on behalf of the client at their request. Fiordland Expeditions accepts no liability for changes in other operators prices or the failure to secure a booking on the back of a trip to help share any prices; and these costs remain the sole responsibility of the client(s).On such occasions Fiordland Expeditions will return the clients to the nearest port and refund any monies not utilized in this case. Charters cancelled due to this will forfeit all monies paid.

Diving

Fiordland Expeditions offer the facilities for diving from the vessel and advice on sites, terrain and the peculiarities of Fiordland. The client accepts full responsibility for managing their dives and will provide their own dive manager if required.

Hunting

Hunters are required by the Department of Conservation to be permitted if hunting in the Fiordland National Park or on Stewart Island. Permits are the responsibility of the client and can be procured from DOC Te Anau. Fees charged by DOC, if any, are the responsibility of the client.
