Charters Options

Fiordland Expeditions offer extended live aboard charters from one to as many nights as you have available to explore this wonderland. Unfortunately we do not offer day cruises of any kind at this stage.

Our charters are fully catered; the only exception is alcohol for which you need to attend to yourself. Almost everything else for your activities and living aboard is supplied, so the only things you need to bring are your personal items.

There are two options for chartering the Tutoko. You can either:

Private Charter.

• With this option you charter the vessel for your family or a group of friends. You do the organising and liaise with us about your requirements. You can specify how long you wish to charter the boat for, from one to as many nights as you wish. Naturally this has an effect on the cost of your charter so contact us to discuss your own specific needs.

Join A Group. (for multinight trips)

• With this option you register your interest in joining a group with the rough dates of which time of year you're interested in. We will endeavour to build a group based on available dates. This is a great way to get to see this truly amazing part of the world without needing to build a group yourself.

Costs differ for both options.

Activities you can partake in are totally at your discretion. We offer:

• or even just taking a scenic cruise, relaxing and enjoying the awesome scenery on offer.

This is your wilderness adventure, you make the rules. Tell us what you want to do and we'll do our best to ensure you get to do it.

What to see

You will likely see albatross and shearwaters, cormorants and seagulls, seals, penguins and dolphins. You will definitely see the jewels of this scenic wonderland. From majestic mountain vistas to the still waters of the deep, you will be amazed at the awesome sights to be experienced.

Seasons

Fiordland is very much a product of the forces of nature. But Fiordland's unique landscape can offer plenty of shelter no matter what time of year and we have surprised many with how mild and calm our winter cruises can be.

Travel

Transfers to/from the vessel are taken from the Te Anau/Manapouri area. You will need to get to either of these towns by the evening before as transfers happen in the morning. It is possible to travel from Queenstown on the day but this involves a very early start to be at the appropriate place in time.
